This umbrella looks great---the designs are clear and will get any fan psyched for the season. The fabric is, as described, a light-to-medium weight (lighter weight than the typical canvas on a market umbrella). Therefore, I suggest that you treat it carefully (put it down in a storm, bring it in for the Winter, etc.) to make it last a bit longer. I would certainly pay more for a more substantial fabric.

The one truly irritating feaature is the mechanism that locks the umbrella in the "open" position. Rather than a crank like most patio umbrellas, it has a cotter-pin mechanism. You have to reach up almost to the top of the umbrella to slide it in. Given that these umbrellas are frequently placed in the center of a table, you have to be at least 6'5" tall (literally) to raise and lower the umbrella without using a stool or standing on a chair.
