My brother has owned two pair of Serengeti sunglasses in the past 22 years...both pairs lasted him more than a decade of hard use.
Mine I'm geting rid of after three years.
They are beautiful sunglasses - the frames are sturdy, the hinges solid, the lenses crystal clear...and the tint is perfect for all light conditions. The style is beautiful; they are by far the best-looking sunglasses I've ever worn.
But the screws will not hold these frames together for anything. The screws holding the frames around the lenses came loose at just around the one-year mark, and when one of the lenses popped out and broke because the screw came loose it was at 13 months - outside the warranty, so Serengeti would charge me to examine and repair the glasses. So I paid an optometry center to replace the lost screw and put in a new lens.

These are the best lenses and frames I've ever worn. I have had a pair for about 5 years, and I am replacing them with the same model. The only issue
is the reflective coating can get scratched and after 5 years (in my case)
they need to be retired. The Sedona lenses bring a brilliance to blue skies and big fluffy clouds.
